CU Youth Week
Credit unions celebrate youth in April. Join in the celebration all month, or just during National Credit Union Youth Week™, by encouraging kids to set up savings accounts and learn how to manage money.
This year’s theme, Catch the $ave Wave™, harnesses the excitement for beaches, sand and surfing to show your younger members they can benefit from visiting — and saving at — their credit union.
By focusing on potential younger members, you can lower the age demographic of your credit union, while increasing the loyalty of their parents.
NATIONAL YOUTH SAVINGS CHALLENGE RULES:
The National Youth Saving Challenge is open to all youth under 18 who visit a participating credit union during April. While youth are encouraged to make a deposit at the credit union, no deposit is required to enter.
Parents/guardians giving permission for their youth to enter can submit on a 3" x 5" piece of paper the following information to the credit union:
- Current age
Limit one entry per person.
On May 14, 2014, Credit Union National Association (CUNA) will randomly select 25 participating credit unions to each receive one $100 award. Each credit union will then randomly select one winner from its entrants. Your credit union will notify you if you are one of the 25 winners.
