At TopMark Federal Credit Union, our volunteers play an important role in strengthening the financial well-being of the communities we serve. Guided by the credit union philosophy of People Helping People, volunteers help ensure we continue meeting the needs of all members — whether low-to-moderate income, unbanked, underbanked, or financially established.

Through their leadership, experience, and understanding of the challenges facing our communities, volunteers help provide strategic direction that keeps TopMark strong, independent, and focused on serving our members for generations to come.

Become a Board Member

TopMark Federal Credit Union currently has an opening on our Board of Directors to fill a one-year term remaining.

Our Board Members represent the interests of thousands of members by helping ensure the credit union continues to provide valuable products, services, and financial solutions that meet the evolving needs of our membership.

Board Members work closely with leadership to:

  • Help guide the long-term strategic direction of the credit union
  • Oversee the financial performance and stability of the organization
  • Support sound governance and responsible decision-making
  • Uphold the credit union mission of People Helping People

Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility is simple. Candidates must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a member in good standing with TopMark Federal Credit Union

Time Commitment

Serving on the Board is a meaningful opportunity that can fit within a busy schedule.

Board Members should be prepared to attend:

  • Monthly Board meetings
  • Periodic committee meetings as needed

Board meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of each month at 12:00 PM and typically last 1 hour.

Serving on the Board of Directors is an opportunity to actively participate in the cooperative spirit that makes credit unions unique. Unlike traditional financial institutions, credit unions are member-owned and member-focused.

Board service is both rewarding and impactful, offering members the chance to help shape the future of their credit union and the communities it serves.

Qualifications & Director Responsibilities 

  • Being a member in good standing of the Credit Union
  • Availability to attend monthly Board meetings and strategic planning sessions 
  • Willingness to serve as a volunteer without compensation 
  • Enthusiasm and interest in the continued successful operation of TFCU and the credit union movement.
